Sign Up Bonus

The best offer for the card is:

  • Earn 35,000 Avion points after your first purchase,
  • Earn 20,000 Avion points after spending $5,000 within the first 6 months,
  • Earn 15,000 Avion points after paying the annual fee for the second year,
  • Earn 12 months of free DoorDash subscription.

In the first 6 months, you can earn at least 60,000 Avion points. After the first year, you will earn an additional 15,000 Avion points.

  • Up to 20% discount on Hertz within USA and Canada when you use the first six digits of your RBC Avion Visa Infinite as the CDP code.

The following other benefits of holding the credit card are:

  • Save 3 cents per liter at Petro-Canada and 20% extra Petro-Points,

Earning Points

You will earn:

  • 1.5 Avion points for every $1 spent at Petro-Canada
  • 1.25 Avion point every other $1 spent.

Fees

Annual fee of $399.

Supplementary card fee of $99.

There is a 2.5% foreign transaction fee on all credit cards.

Historical Sign Up Bonus

  • Ending April 30, 2024: Earn 60,000 RBC Avion points for spending $5,000 within the first six months.

Summary

The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege has a poor sign up bonus for the annual fee. The benefits of holding the card beyond that are also limited.
